About me

I connect the worlds of storytelling, operations and strategy.I was trained in storytelling by TED, educated at Harvard and McKinsey, and developed my business operations expertise across media, entertainment, consumer tech & healthcareMost recently, I served as the Head of Operations at Wattpad, a global entertainment app used by 100M people around the world each month to write and read original stories.I also led TEDxToronto for 5 years, developing talks for inspiring leaders, including front-line nurses, cabinet ministers, artists and founders

Storytelling Advisor

I help you gain clarity on the story you’re trying to tell, so that your audience is moved to action. For producers and writers: helping you get to the core of what you’re trying to do, and get unstuckFor CEOs and executives: taking your big public talks, pitch decks, all-hands and board presentations to the next levelBig moments like these are amazing ‘forcing points’ to clarify values, strategy and tap into the language of storytelling to connect at a deeper level, and create impact. My storytelling approach has been developed through producing over 60 TED Talks, and tested in the field through my own executive roles. This approach is deeply personal, values driven, and always leads to an 'aha' moment that makes you think about business, life and how you communicate, differently.

Operations Advisor

I help organizations of all sizes figure out how to grow faster, resolve disconnects, and build strong operating cadences.I'm often brought on board to:

  • Act as a closely embedded operational advisor and coach for founders/CEOs & their teams

  • Operate as a fractional COO/CoS, getting into the day-to-day, solving problems standing in the way of your goals

  • Take on mission-critical projects that can’t be done on the side of an executive’s desk

  • Re-build systems to enable growth, including annual planning, OKRs/goals & internal / external comms
